Hi, it’s me again. This time with a quick and easy recipe specially for kids. My son Fernando, as almost any other kid needs something very appealing to peal him away from his nintendo switch; and nowadays without school, unable to exit the house and so much free time, I need to come up with ideas to keep him distracted and make him use his whole hands and not only his thumbs.

Yesterday we made pain au chocolat the easy way, with puff pastry from the supermarket that I had in the fridge. Of course if you have the time and the ingredients at home you can start from scratch and make a day of it. Actually I did it a few years back, this is the link to that post. It took me about 6 to 7 hours, but it was worth it.

Ingredients
- Puff pastry
- Milk or dark chocolate tablet
- One tablespoon of milk
- sugar glass
For this kid friendly version just roll out the dough, cut it into 6 rectangles with the same width of your chocolate tablet. Cut the chocolate into bars (normally the are already precut) and place one bar at the beginning of a rectangle, roll it twice, place a second bar and finish rolling, pressing a bit a t the end to keep it closed while baking. Brush a mixture of milk and sugar glass all over it.
Bake at 210 ĀŗC (410 ĀŗF) for about 20 minutes, until just golden brown. Allow it the rest a bit before eating (chocolate will be very hot!)
Enjoy and be safe
