Pork tenderloin with orange sauce & green asparagus

Looking for something autumnal and easy to do? Look no further, this recipe is perfect.

The orange sauce with its touch of cinnamon is perfect for the fall and winter. It turns a bit sweet so make sure to have a salty side dish with it. Green asparagus are healthy and salty; besides, they will be ready in 2 minutes!

1 pork tenderloin
Black pepper
7 tablespoons of sugar
6 oranges
4 cinnamon sticks
Ground cinnamon
Olive oil
One bundle of green asparagus
Coarse salt

Make cuts on the tenderloin, not going all the way through, like a book. Spice with cinnamon, cumin, pepper and salt.

Close the cuts with a cord or toothpicks and brown in a pan with some olive oil. Bathe the meat with the orange juice, add cinnamon sticks and sugar.

Cook for one hour in the saucepan over low heat until the sauce thickens.

If you want, you can add a splash of sherry or port.

For the green asparagus; place them in a hot pan with olive oil and sauté for a couples of minutes. At the end sprinkle with coarse salt.

  1. Orange is amazing with meats… I usually add, but this recipe is a new taste for me, especially with cinnamon… Sounds so delicious… Thank you dear Giovanna, with my love, nia
